Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a legally certified e-signature like DocuSign?
No. This is for signing your own PDF. It is not certified or DocuSign-grade e-signing, and it provides no audit trail, identity verification, or email-to-signer workflow. Check whether the recipient accepts a simple placed signature before using it for formal documents.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Your PDF stays in your browser. It is read and signed locally with pdf-lib, and the signed file is generated on your device. Nothing is stored on a server.
Can I draw or type my signature?
Yes, both. Draw with your mouse or finger on the signature pad, or switch to Type and enter your name to create a script-style signature image.
Can I choose which page the signature goes on?
Yes. Pick any page from the page selector, then use the left-to-right and top-to-bottom sliders and the size slider to position the signature. A preview of the selected page is shown when it loads.
What if the page preview does not load?
You can still sign. If the preview fails (for example, no connection to the preview library), place the signature by page number and position sliders and download — the signed PDF is still created correctly. You can also retry the preview.
